This Animal is PENDING ADOPTION.

Calypso D4303 (was D5137)

Calypso was adopted from us July 2015, but his previous adopters just took him to the shelter on 4/3/19, vs contacting us.  They stated due to move.  We take all our dogs back for life. We will post his current photo soon.  He is friendly with shelter staff.   Everyone adores him.  At our vet exam, he has a golf ball size lump hanging from his left leg hock which we had removed and he needed dental with extractions.   Need donations to help cover his surgery bills.  $1,200.  5/1/19:  He is doing great at his hero foster home with another dog.  Calpyso is now healthy, happy and playful with their dog.   He is adorable, playful and very sweet.  He needs adult family with experience.

Original post when we first rescued him:  Calypso was rescued on 6/1/15 from a shelter. He is friendly and good with other dogs. He had his dental and now feeling much happier. Getting healthy with holistic quality food and treats. Charming Calypso loves his toys (tosses around), daily walks & playing with other dogs! He is friendly, active, agile and affectionate. For his happiness, he would love another dog at home, someone around more, daily exercise (active person for walks/hikes) and holistic healthy food! Calypso can jump up to a table, so he needs supervision. He was groomed and now feels great!

5/8/19 update from his foster home: Calypso is doing great in his foster home. He has recovered remarkably from his surgeries. He loves his playmate, Sophie, a Jack Russell, and plays very well with her. He has been introduced to neighboring dogs and was very good with them.  Calypso does best with dogs his size vs large male dogs.  He’s a sweet boy with a very tender loving disposition. He does love to eat, snuggle and play. He listens well and is very social. He has manners, but if there’s food around he tends to forget (very treat motivated). He had some separation anxiety the first few days, but now he knows the routine of his foster home and he realizes they’re not abandoning him. He is house trained. Loves to be outside, a lot. He would do well with an adult, kids 12 yrs+,  home that will walk him daily, have a backyard for him to explore and chase squirrels and can give him lots of love. Calypso is a very sweet dog that deserves a forever loving home.

Update 9/20/19:  Calypso is doing great at his experienced foster home with another dog.  Very sweet and friendly.  Did great at groomers.  Loves to meet new people at his home, getting brushed and daily walks.  Sweetie.
