 Abby D5055

Abby D5055

Abby was rescued from a Santa Clara County shelter on 9/8/14. She was severely neglected and malnourished, more than 20 pounds under weight. Due to her poor health Abby had developed a treatable skin condition that caused hairloss, common to neglected puppies. Treatment has immediately started and her skin and coat will be back to normal in no time. More info to come as the foster home learns more.

Foster Home Update
Abby is doing great. Now 10 months old and 30 pounds heavier, this Dutch Shepherd mix puppy has flourished in foster care, becoming the gorgeous sable brindle girl she was meant to be. Currently 60lbs, she is close to her adult weight and size for female "Dutchies."

Despite her beginnings, Abby is a friendly, playful and social girl. She has thoroughly enjoyed the company of a number of large-breed male dogs in foster care, appointing herself as the "social director" of play and activities. Abby does not do well with companion animals under 30lbs or cats as is often the case with this breed. She is highly intelligent and learns quickly but still displays plenty of puppy goofiness. She would be the star of an older pup class and would really enjoy it! Her friendly and bold attitude to life makes her a perfect companion for a wide range of activities.

**Note: Adoption in SF Bay Area Only**
