Andy D5007
Andy was rescued on 7/2/14 from a crowded Alameda county shelter. He is super sweet, charming and mellow. Great with other dogs. Just look at his adorable face. He is so cute! We all love him! He had some matts and was groomed (shaved down). He is soulful and wants to bond to someone. For a few days, he was sad and didn't eat much. By day 3, he is now eating cooked chicken mix. Andy prefers quiet type home. Good meeting dogs on walks, but in home, he prefers calm dog or fine as only dog. Andy also has a low pulse rate. He had his EKG and healthy. So fine for normal walks and no issues. He is just a calmer dog. Update from his foster home: Andy is very sweet, affectionate and obedient to humans. We have learned that Andy would do best as an only dog or some very experienced with a dominant dog should there be other dogs in the home. He is possessive of his food when other dogs are present. He lets people remove food bowl, but he doesn't like other dogs to get close to his bowl or chews. He is still recovering from his leg injury. All his x-rays showed no joint injury but he is limping (soft tissue) and slowly getting better with medication and rest. Andy will need time to rest and heal his injury.
