Athena D4640

We rescued the 3 pups, Persephone, Xena, Athena and Hera from a distant shelter. Shelter named them. They were all abandoned at the shelter together and very scared. Shelter is very over-loaded, so it is very noisy there with so many poor dogs barking. The 3 pups were very fearful and reactive at the shelter. Today, they warmed up to our volunteer transporter with treats, so we took them all in. They are all under socialized and untrained. Most likely they all lived in a backyard before they were dumped. We are unsure if Hera and the 3 pups are related. Once out of the shelter, they started to relax and warm up. All are sweet and adorable. They love treats. They were very dirty with urine on their coats. Foster home bathed them all and they did fine. Two warmed up sooner and started playing. The 3rd puppy is more timid. They will need experienced guardians in homes with attached backyards. No kids for now. More info. and new photos to come as they learn at their foster home.

Update from Foster Home:  The biggest one (Athena) is dominant to other dogs and the most affectionate--she demands belly rubs.  Loves to be held and cuddled.  Will guard person to other dogs.  Smart and learning commands fast with treats.  She needs more one on one training.

**Note: Adoption in SF Bay Area Only**
