Monte D6647

Monte was an urgent rescue when his time was up on 10/29/19 at a crowded city shelter. No one came thru to save him, so we did. It was fate, and a hero foster home stepped up for him just in time. Poor Monte was abandoned by his previous people who left him living in a backyard since he was a puppy. He was sad and needed basic vet care needs from poor diet and no vet care. Despite all he has suffered, Monte is very sweet, social friendly with people and warms up to other dogs within minutes. Monte has some skin rash around his ears (probably fly bites) and poor coat. We took care of his neuter, medications, and blood test (healthy). Monte is now happy and resting at his hero foster home with another dog.

We will learn more about his personality from his foster home as he gets healthier with raw, holistic foods, supplements and tons of TLC. He needs basic training. Later we need to have our vet check his teeth for possible broken pre-molar (shelter vet didn't check). Monte got his Miracle! More info. to come.

11/2/19 Update:  Monte is doing well.  He was tested fine with a male shelter dog and was fine with 2 male dogs at his transporter home.  At this foster home, he is not friendly with her female large dog.  We are not sure if he needs more time to feel comfortable around her female Husky dog or he may prefer male dogs.  More info. to come.

Hi, I need a temporary foster home while I wait to be adopted. Will you please foster me?
