Kimo D6612

Kimo D6612

Kimo was nervous at shelter but warms up once out. Good with dogs. He was badly matted and neglected. Kimo did great with our vet and had to be shaved down. Huge thanks to Tama Veterinary Hospital for squeezing him in and shaving him.

Once our foster home picked him up and took him home, he was smiling and very happy. Soon he will be healthy and gorgeous. More info. to come on Kimo. We are not sure of his breed mix. His size and personality seems to be Bichon mix.

Update: At his foster home he learned their doggie door and follows their dog. Dogs are not playing, but fine hanging out. Easy going. Good on walks, stays close to foster mom, affectionate, and gives kisses. So far ignoring their cat.

Update from his 2nd foster home with another male dog: He knows his name, sits, and walks well on leash. Sleeps super well in his crate, indifferently co-exists with other dog in household, unless he has a chance to chase him with a toy at high speed around the back yard. He needs a home with yard and has moderate energy. Loves to sit with me to do my work or hang out while husband gardens. Meets children and new people well as long with a nice intro. He is acting startled less, but when he does, he propels himself several feet. Kimo likes going out to restaurants and walks in general. Very sweet social companion dog, one of our top four in sweetness+cuddliness from all our many foster dogs.  With time, as he becomes comfortable, he wants to move up the pack order with other dog in home.  He needs guidance to learn he is 2nd dog and wait his turn.  Fine as only dog in a household since he wants all the attention.
