Jon Snow D4367 (Snowy)

Jon Snow D4367 (Snowy)

Jon Snow was nervous, scared and shy at the shelter (hiding in back of cage). He was neglected, under-socialized and matted (shaggy long coat). After a few days, he slowly warmed up and was fine being picked up and enjoyed lap time. He is good other dogs. Not leash trained. Our vet office brushed, shaved his matts and gave him a bath. Jon Snow is doing well at his hero foster home with another sweet dog. Nervous but very sweet. He is learning he is safe.

Update from foster home: He is house-trained but he is a very nervous dog so he has to feel comfortable enough that we won't leave him before he will actually go out to do his business. So it is important to work with him on this or he will still have accidents. He needs someone home more. He has made remarkable progess on his nervousness since he came to us. He now plays with my little terrier mix, he has learnt how to walk on leash. He is extremely smart, and quite the escape artist. He has become much better at least with our family, although he is still nervous of strangers. We feel like he will keep getting better with time. He will do better with another dog in the home. He barks when we leave him alone and go out, and when we come back home (in excitement). But he doesn’t bark all day like some little dogs do. I haven’t really seen him chew on too many things yet. He doesn’t seem to shed a great deal, but he does shed a normal amount. Needs experienced adult home.
