Frodo D4323

Frodo D4323

Frodo was rescued from a shelter.  He was nervous and timid at the shelter, but once out, he warms up and gentle friendly.  Frodo had blood in his urine and severe dental needs.  He was thin and unhealthy.  We took him to our vet for all his lab tests, x-rays and surgeries.  Turned out, he could of died from bladder blockage and infected swollen prostate.  Poor Frodo suffered for years in pain with no vet care and low quality diet (often causes bladder stones).  He needed antibiotic for infections and surgeries to remove a marble size bladder stone (analysis revealed Struvite Stones), exploratory surgery for one testical in his abdominal (large incision), dental, extraction of many rotten teeths, and treatment for his swollen prostate (infection).  Frodo's surgery was successful and he has been healing at his hero foster home.   He is now feeling much better and eating holistic/fresh foods (home cooked/fresh).  Frodo enjoys his daily walks, meeting other dogs, having someone home, lap/sofa time, and very sweet.  With time, and follow vet visits, he will continue to get healthier.

Now that Frodo healed from all his surgeries, he is more spunky, active and loves his daily walks.   He needs a home with someone around every few hours and home with backyard so he can urinate every few hours.  Bladder stone issues are caused from dogs that hold it to long and can't relieve themselves for long hours.  Frodo is a tiny small dog so he is early middle age and needs daily walks, would love hikes and more socials.

We appreciate and greatly need donations to pay for all his vet care, which cost us $3,140.00    Miracle Club doggie.

Dr. Karen Becker, Bladder Stones in Dogs:
I recommend feeding a low-carb, grain-free, starch-free, potato-free, preferably fresh food diet. My second choice is canned food or a dehydrated or freeze-dried diet that has been reconstituted with lots of water.
