Caprio D6643 (was D6641

Caprio D6643 (was D6641

We rescued Caprio from a shelter where his time was up and he had no options left. He was very fearful and nervous of the shelter staff and their vet so he failed their evaluations. Caprio was neglected, untrained and under-socialized so he was very scared and did not trust handlers at the noisy shelter. With our trainer/foster home, she was able to take him out for walk, gave him treats and time in the play area. Caprio warmed up to her and suddenly became very happy. Caprio completely did a 180 and was sweet! He is lovely, smart and bouncy. Loves playing with toys and balls.  At her home, he is doing great with her dogs, loves playing and very friendly with everyone. Crating well, handles well and eager to learn. After a few days, he is very confident, good on leash, easy to train with someone that understands motivation training. Caprio is food, toy and human social motivated. He has medium to high activity level. Possibly good sport dog for fun agility. Caprio is a busy body and need daily active exercise or dog play time.  He needs an experienced guardian, kids 12 yrs and up. He needs a home with yard and prefer a playful dog playmate at home. Caprio is fine with confident dog-friendly cat in foster home.

Caprio is handsome and so happy now. We are not sure of his breed mix. If he is a Norfolk Terrier mix (has the traits), they are considered a “big dog in a small package.” Alert, gregarious, smart and nimble. He is a loyal companion with the heart of a working or sport terrier.
