Dougie D4011

Dougie is a 7 year old male maltese mix. We rescued him from a neglect situation where he was left alone, tethered to a door and living in the owners' garage for over 2 years. He was matted and dirty with fleas. He had long nails and needed a bath/grooming right away. At his wonderful foster home, he has been a good boy and a wonderful companion. He is a definitely a people dog as he will follow you around the house, loves to go for walks and will sit next to you, waiting patiently for pets. He would do great in a home by himself or he could live with another small dog (although he is not interested in playing with other dogs). He does not seem to like big dogs, but he does tolerate his foster home's large dog. He is also good with cats. Dougie will need a experienced guardian who will continue his training and provide him with healthy foods. He needs a forever loving home as a true family member. Adult only for now until we learn more of his personality. This is a quick cell phone photo after his grooming from his foster home - a new glamour photo will come. We took care of all his vet needs.
