Chance is one of a litter on nine kittens that were surrendered to the Shelter at 2 weeks of age.  She was very tiny and didn’t have a lot of energy, hence the name.  Chance is now strong, health and very playful.  She and her siblings were bottle fed and now are ready for a loving new home.  She is used to playing with dogs.

Name: Daffy D2205
Type: Dog
Gender: Male
Breed: Wire Hair Terrier Mix
Age: 1 year 8 months
Hair/Color: Black / Tan
Size: 10 lbs.
Housebroken: Yes

Daffy was rescued from Tri-City Animal Shelter on 5/13/08. He is super friendly and gives kisses when carried. He is very playful with other dogs (loves to play & rough house), confident and spunky. Quiet during car ride in crate. Seems to listen and learning (smart little boy). He does guard his high value treat or canned food, but already learning if he drops, he gets another better treat. He eats gently from your hands. Very treat motivated. Did well waiting for treat and eating next to another dog. He will need an experienced adult home only to work with him.

He was adopted May 2008 but now returning Aug. 2009, for a new home since the family is unable to work with his training needs.  He now will guard his home to strangers coming in since he’s an adult now and thinks he’s doing his job.   Need very experience dog guardian.  No kids.  He is very cute but need a kind leader as his guardian.

Hi, I need a temporary foster home while I wait to be adopted. Will you please foster me?

Cassidy 08-3426

Type: Cat
Gender: Female
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Age: 2 years
Hair/Color: Grey Tabby
Housebroken: Yes

Cassidy has been with her foster home since she was 3 weeks old.  She lives with her foster family with two other cats and the foster’s family dogs.  Cassidy has grown up to be a vocal kitty, always letting everyone know when the food dish is empty by letting out a long, drawn out ‘meeeeeoooooow’ .  As she grew into an adolescent cat from a kitten, she has lost her confidence.  When the house is quiet, she will join her foster parents on the couch for some chin and back scratches.  She sleeps on the bed with the foster parents and the other two cats.  When elsewhere in the house, she is constantly on guard.  Her nervous behavior is here to stay, but this does not take away from the enjoyment that her company and presence brings.  She is still very playful, batting around her cat toys and carrying them around with her.
