Gatsby was first rescued by employees of the Southern Arizona Humane Society from an abandoned Air Force base boneyard, then our Daughter rescued him from them. Gatsby is sweet, loyal and he is strong and loves physical play. Good to run with. Gatsby is three years old and weighs about 50lbs. He loves hanging with the family but also likes to hang out in the back yard by himself (fenced-in by 6' fences) enjoying the sunshine. He has just completed three weeks of professional training at Shamrock Ranch by Lisa Rhodes and with commands he will sit, stay, heel, down-stay, and others. We continue with weekly training. He sleeps through the night in the house in his crate. He does not jump on furniture or beg for food. He's friendly with people, and okay with other dogs, but does get excited sometimes on our walks, and we correct him with his leash and collar. Better with dogs his size than small ones. He always asks to go out to go potty, and always goes in the same spot. He would fit in with a loving family that have children over 12. He is afraid of motorcycles, moving or still. He is also afraid of walking up stairs, 3 or 4 steps are fine.
We are helping the Guardian find a new home for him. We ask for $75-100 donation to Furry Friends Rescue upon adoption. Please contact Guardian if interested: joandbil@msn.com (650) 595-4519
