Meet Harry Potter!

Posted by Morgan on Thursday, 16 July, 2009

Just in time for the movie, we’ve rescued one out of the shelter.. and just like magic (from our wonderful groomers).. he went from this..

Harry Potter-before

To this:

Harry Potter-after

Details of Harry Potter D02387

Type: Dog
Gender: Male
Breed: Bichon Frise / Poodle Mix
Age: 4 years
Hair/Color: White
Size: 20 lbs.
Housebroken: Yes

Poor Harry Potter was very badly neglected in horrible condition.  One of the worst we’ve seen.  Full of matts and very dirty like he has never been cared for all his life. How can anyone do this to a dog?   We will rescue him on 7/13/09.  Our vet office groomer gave him a full bath and Amazing make over.  He now feels clean and wow….gorgeous.  Dispite how neglected he is, he has a heart of gold.  In his cage at the shelter, he was depressed.  Once we took him out he bounded with happiness.  Chipper walk, cuddle and friendly.  He so cute and lovable.  Great with other dogs.  Loves going for a walk and treats.  Give you kisses.   He’s a wonderful and warm hearted boy who now needs to live a plushy life as a true family member.  More info. to come.

Meet Tilly!

Posted by Morgan on Thursday, 16 July, 2009

Tilly D2294

Tilly D2294
Type: Dog
Gender: Female
Breed: Chihuahua / Welsh Corgi Mix
Age: 6 years 6 months
Hair/Color: Honey
Size: 13 lbs.
Housebroken: Yes

Tilly was rescued from Hayward shelter on 12/31/08. She loves attention and play. She will take her toys and toss them around for hours. Once Tilly knows you, she gets very happy when she greets you, her tail wags so hard she wiggles all over.  Loves car rides and snuggling on your lap.  She wants to be your best friend.  Need daily exercise/walks.  She will chase small animals and cats.  Tilly ignores other dogs but is good to be out amongst them at dog events and showcases.  She would prefer a home as a single dog or non-pushy dog.  She needs a kind leader so she will not guard or try to protect you.  She is doing great now with all our volunteers and doggie day care, and has not guarded.  Very happy and friendly with everyone.   Needs experience and confident guardian.  Adult only.

See her at our event:  YouTube – May 30th FFR Paws in the Park @ Santana Row & Kara’s Cupcake!    Dog Fashion Show

Calvin 06-3207

Calvin 06-3207 Type: Cat
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Long Hair
Age: 7 years 1 month
Hair/Color: Brown Tabby
Housebroken: Yes

Calvin was rescued from HSSV on 6/10/06. He is very charming, handsome, friendly and affectionate cat who enjoys having conversations and being petted.

**Note: Adoption in Northern California – SF Bay Area Only**

Personal note about Calvin – Mom’s last FFR dog actually lived with Calvin for a year!  And I’ve got to see this guy at adoption showcases.  He’s a pretty cool cat if a dog does say so himself.  He’s so relaxed on cold days he’ll curl up in his foster mom’s sweater and just watch the world go by at adoption showcase!  Does well with dogs and cats. :)
